COMMUNITY FOCUSED CHRISTMAS CAROLING
We have several opportunities to reach out to our community this Christmas season by just spending some time giving of yourself.

In Your Own Neighborhood
We encourage families to grab others in our church family and go caroling in your own neighbor. Take some candy Christmas canes or home baked cookies with you and you’ll be sure to be a hit. We’ll also have some Christmas Eve invitations to hand out which will be available on Sunday...

2008 YEAR END GIVING INFORMATION
Giving statements for 2008 will be mailed in January 2009. Please remember that all 2008 giving by hand should be done by the end of the 12/28/08 morning worship service. Any giving by mail must be post marked by 12/31/08 in order to be included on your 2008 statement. Thank you for your cooperation and faithful support of the ministry of Church for the Beach.
LEADERSHIP BUILDING TIME - Sunday, January 18th @ 5:30pm
Ministry and Small Group Leaders!!!

It’s been a while since we’ve gotten together, but our quarterly fellowship time will be coming up in January. With the anticipation of what the Lord wants to accomplish and a new year ahead of us, we will come together to pray and share what the Lord is doing in our ministries. The format will look much different from the past and we’d like to invite your family members and children. Don’t forget to mark your calendar so you can come and enjoy this time together. Details will be coming in January!
STARTING BLOCKS - CHILDREN MINISTRY
God is doing great things in cftb’s Children’s Ministry. He has called a group of people to equip the next generation. On any given Sunday, you might find the kids “wandering in the desert” on the way to the Promised Land, worshiping Him in song, and studying His Word. We need the church family’s help to accomplish His mission. We are asking for our church family to be in prayer about participating as a teacher or assistant on Sunday mornings. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Students can help, also. For the children’s safety, we need at least one of the two adults to be screened. (If you have not already had your background check, please complete the assistance section in the Children’s Ministry brochure.) There will be sign up sheets on the back table on Sunday mornings or you can e-mail your name and dates you are available to help out to children@churchforthebeach.org

OAKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
In a few months it will be time for another team to go to Haiti. We will be going February 3-10 and plan to go to Limbe, Haiti again. If you interested in going please call Cindy Heyne 779-1202 or pick up a brochure and see the dates for the meetings. If you feel the leading of the Lord, please call or come to the first meeting. You will need to make a commitment by October 7, 2008. GOSPEL MISSION IN DAYTON, OHIO
Join us in prayer about a possible family or dad and son trip to Dayton, OH to raise a barn in a mission project for Camp Jabez, a ministry of Gospel Mission.

HOPE CHILDREN’S HOME IN TAMPA, FLORIDA
Pray about your participation in returning to Tampa for a short term mission project to help with maintenance and give out God’s love to the children of the Home.
WANT TO GET MORE INVOLVED IN MISSIONS?
Anyone who is interested in getting involved in Mission Direction Team is invited to come and be a part of this time together one the first and third Monday of every month. The time is 6:30pm and the location is the Heyne’s home. Please contact Bob or Cindy if you have any questions @ 779-1202. The Team gets together to study the Word and pray for and discuss church for the beach’s involvement in missions and ministries locally and all over the world. Additionally, they are praying for others in our church family to get excited about missions and equipping the body to connect, build and transform through genuine relationships.
