Since the beginning of the year, we have broken down the call of God on our lives. He initially calls us to be part of His community of believers through devotion to Christ. In response, we are called live out that devotion to His family, the church. We do that by following Jesus’ example of servanthood that He lived out while on earth (John 13:15). As we serve, we will make known the mystery of ‘Christ in us’ as revealed through the church. As each individual serves in their unique calling of the Spirit, we will experience the harmony of many members of the body accomplishing many different functions (Romans 12:4)

But, all of the above, all that we have looked at over the past couple of months, is predicated on one thing - our choice to be obedient. That choice is key. As we enter a new series on Sunday mornings, we will look at our response to the call of God as seen through Moses and the people of Israel in the book of Exodus. God is calling us out and desires that we respond with a willing heart of obedience and submission to His will. ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.’ (Ephesians 3:20-21)

We are in a key transition period in the life of our church family. Pray for Jesus to be lifted up each time we come together in prayer, fellowship, worship, bible study or any other time our family gets together. If we lift Him up, He promises to draw us and those around us to Himself. And, quite frankly, that is why we exist - to see people drawn to a life saving or life giving relationship with Jesus as we connect others to Him and His church family.

See you Sunday morning! Come prayed up and ready to lift your lives as a living sacrifice to the Lord! Oh, and don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night, or you’ll miss an entire hour of our time together!
