Our name - church for the beach - not only reminds us who we are - "church" - (ekklesia - "the called out ones"), but also why we have been called out: "for the beach" - for the salvation of those who don't know Jesus yet, for the encouragement and building up of those who do as we spread God's glory and the Good News across this island as lead by the Lord.

Does that mean we're excluding the mainlanders? No way. As we reach the beach our prayer is that the mainland will be effected as well, but God has clearly called us to reach out on the beachside with His love, forgiveness and plan for everyone who has built 'an island' on the island.
